My Thoughts
I love marriage of convenience stories and mail order brides definitely fall into this category so I went into this excited about another wonderful story. I got this and more.
A mail order bride story with a twist. What I wasn’t expecting was the whiplash of sudden change in events a few chapters in but this drew me in and held me spellbound from then on. Although there was no mystery or suspense to uncover, the issues dealt with through the course of the story like forgiveness and second chances had me turning the pages.
The romance thread was well written. I like that they didn’t just jump at a chance to be together they had been through so much and had been hurt in the process. They had to learn to forgive and get past previous hurts to truly be together.
A truly delightful read.
